Pier Check-In
Start with refreshments at the pier while the team prepares your snorkelling equipment and explains the day’s route, safety points and boat plan. -

Settle aboard the speedboat for the Andaman Sea crossing, with the first island views appearing as you approach the national park. -

Chong Kad Channel & Moken Village
Snorkel through Chong Kad Channel with your guide, then step ashore to explore Moken Village and learn more about island life. -

National-Park Lunch
Pause for a buffet lunch at the national-park restaurant, with time to relax before the afternoon snorkelling. -

Second Snorkelling Stop
Return to the water at Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay, with the site selected for the clearest and most comfortable conditions that day. -

Third Snorkelling Stop
Enjoy a final guided reef session at Pineapple Bay or Turtle Bay before the journey back across the Andaman Sea. -

Depart the Surin Islands
Change into dry clothes, settle back on the speedboat and begin the return crossing to the mainland. -

Arrive back at the pier for refreshments, then continue by shared transfer to your hotel.

How do I make a booking?
Send us your preferred date, group size, children’s ages and hotel name or area. We will check your trip and confirm the price.
If your trip is more than seven days away, you can secure your confirmed trip with a 20% deposit.
The remaining 80% is due exactly seven days before your trip. You may pay in full at any time.
If you book seven days or fewer before travel, full payment is required.
What happens if I cancel?
For the day trip, cancellation more than seven days before departure qualifies for a refund of payments received, less one ฿1,000 administration charge per booking. Customer cancellations seven days or fewer before departure are non-refundable.
How much does the day trip cost?
The day trip costs ฿4,300 per adult and ฿3,100 per child aged 4–11. Please tell us the ages of all children when you enquire so we can confirm the correct price and advise on suitability.
What is included?
Your trip includes return hotel transfers from covered Phuket and Khao Lak areas, return speedboat travel, guided snorkelling, snorkelling equipment, a towel, national-park fees, meals and refreshments.
Is this a full-day trip?
Yes. Pier check-in is scheduled for 08:30, with speedboat departure at 09:00 and return to the mainland at approximately 17:00. Your hotel transfers take place before and after these times, so please allow the full day.
What time will you collect us from our hotel?
Your pickup time depends on your hotel’s location. Send us your full hotel name and travel date, and we will confirm the collection time. Hotel pickup, pier check-in and speedboat departure are separate stages of the journey.
How many snorkelling stops are included?
The programme normally includes three guided snorkelling stops and a visit to the Moken community. The team chooses suitable snorkelling locations according to the weather, tides and sea conditions.
Can beginners or non-swimmers join?
You do not need previous snorkelling experience, but please tell us before booking if anyone is not confident in the water. Non-swimmers may be able to enjoy the boat and island visits; participation in snorkelling depends on conditions and the guide’s advice.
Can we stay overnight instead?
Yes. Choose our two-day, one-night or three-day, two-night trip to enjoy more snorkelling and time on the islands after the day visitors leave. Both overnight packages include regular beach-tent accommodation, with optional upgrades subject to availability.
Which pier does the speedboat depart from?
The speedboat departs from Nam Khem Pier at Namkhem Marina, north of Khao Lak. Your included hotel transfer takes you to the departure pier. We will confirm your exact pickup and check-in arrangements for your date.
Are hotel transfers included?
Return hotel transfers are included from covered Phuket and Khao Lak areas. Send us your full hotel name so we can confirm your collection and return arrangements.
Can we make our own way to the pier?
Yes—tell us when booking so we can confirm the meeting point and check-in time. Transfers from Ranong are not included, so travellers coming from there need to arrange their own journey to the pier.
What is the luggage allowance for the hotel transfer?
Please tell us in advance if you are bringing large bags. A ฿200 transfer charge applies to each bag larger than 20 inches.
What should we bring?
Bring swimwear, light clothing, sun protection, a hat, suitable footwear, personal medication and a waterproof bag. Snorkelling equipment is included.
When is the Surin Islands season?
The normal visitor season runs from 15 October to 15 May, subject to national-park announcements, weather, sea conditions and trip availability.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Please tell us about dietary requirements or allergies before booking. We will check what can be arranged for your dates and confirm the available options.
Is the Surin Islands day trip suitable for everyone?
- Follow the guides’ instructions and wear a life jacket whenever requested.
- Tell us before booking if anybody is not a confident swimmer.
- Tell us about pregnancy, recent surgery, back or neck problems, heart conditions or mobility needs before booking.
- The trip is not recommended for children under one.
- Speedboat travel can be bumpy, and health or mobility limits may apply.
